Episode 02 – Decade in Review, Beer Tasting and Beer or Bullshit
The 2nd episode of the ‘Beer n BS Podcast’.
In this show we review beers, discuss the last decade and play Beer or Bullshit. A slip of the tongue, a moan of sorts with bullshit from over the last 10 years and some good ale will keep you entertained for the next couple of hours. We discuss alcohol and hangovers with Beer or Bullshit.
The ‘Beer n BS podcast’ is a monthly discussion on craft ales, politics, gaming, movies with a good dose of bullshit. Hosted by three drinking buddies – we aim to introduce a few new beers to you with a humorous breakdown of topical events and news. Recorded in the Leeds (Yorkshire/UK) from the finest taproom in the area: QuirkyAles.com. This podcast may not be suitable for listening at work or in public spaces.

Scarborough Fair IPA 6.0% ABV
Triple Hopped IPA by Woldtop
In the brewers own words:Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention.
Such triple hopped beers need hot full flavoured foods to accompany them!
Feedback from the Guild of Fine Foods Great Taste Awards: Nice subtle lychee and peach flavours. Good body which frames the bitterness well. Good breadth across the palate.Nicely restrained. Doesn’t give you everything at once, which we applaud.
R35 Zero Gravity 5.4% ABV
Brut IPA by Zero Gravity
Gluten Free: Yes <20ppm
Vegan: Yes
ABV: 5.4%
Malts: Pilsner. Corn. Rice
Hops: Vic Secret. Merkur. Simcoe. Citra
5AM Saint 5.0% ABV
US Red Ale by Brewdog
In the brewers own words: 5AM Saint is 5 malts, 5% ABV and 5 hops (OK, it’s six but you get the idea). That’s where order ends and chaos begins. Berries and marmalade mutate with caramel and chocolate and a dash of spice. All resting on a biscuity base. As malty as it is hoppy. As anarchic as it is structured.
5AM Saint – you need to get upearly to find anything more chaotic.
